Yes, You Can Control Legal Fees

New York City

Oct. 24, 2016 — A free seminar will advise boards on ways to cut a dreaded cost.

It’s a safe bet that every human being dreads three things: death, taxes, and legal fees. If your co-op or condo board is struggling to pay its legal bills, mark your calendar. On Nov. 3, the law firm Anderson Kill and the financial consultancy The Folson Group will hold a seminar advising boards on ways to cut their legal costs.

“Through preventive action, proper utilization of attorneys, and mitigation of costs once counsel has been retained, boards can, through their own vigilance, contain legal costs,” an announcement for the seminar states. “Cost reductions can come from the most unlikely sources, like preventing lawsuits, updating policies and procedures, and even going green!”

The hour-long seminar begins at 4 p.m. in Anderson Kill’s offices at 1251 Avenue of the Americas, 42nd floor. It will feature presentations from the law firm’s Bruce Cholst, and from The Folson Group’s Tina Larsson and Mark Foley. A cocktail reception will follow. Registration is free if you RSVP here by Nov. 1. You can also register by calling Sonia Smalls at 212-278-1400.
