Has anyone received the Star Tax Relief yet? Will it be distributed the through deductions in maintenance. What if the rebate is higher than your maintenance?
Join the Conversation Comments (1)Poo, Thank you, however if the Star goes directly to management, I am assuming it will be dedicated from our maintenance, since we do not have an account for direct deposit. How do we know how much we will rece?

The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance sends out the STAR credit checks that’s the new procedure with my new co-op. I will get a check. I used to have the Star credit deducted monthly in my previous co-op.
The amount depends on where you live and taxes in your area.
Why don’t you call up and ask?

In NY checks go out in July. so I bought a co-op in 2022 so I’m under the new rule where I receive a lump sum and depending on where you live in NY and taxes that determines the amount you receive. Of course if you’re a senior it’s a higher refund. I get about $1350 but when I lived in my previous apartment I was part of the older rule and it was deducted monthly. I lived in that apartment for over 20 years.
