Barco Memorial-Inlay Benches

The CTB line of memorial benches from the Barco Products Company (Now there's a name. What do they sell? Products!) ranges from $618 to $938, plus shipping, for customized six-foot or eight-foot models with either single-board or double-board backs. You can seek donations from residents to memorialize some worthy neighbor or someone's late parent, perhaps, and set a fundraising goal higher than the cost of the bench. The leftover money can then, say, replace a tattered awning you might not have replaced otherwise. And your building gets a free bench for people to sit on.

The benches come in four color combinations of wood and frame — gray and black, and cedar and black, brown or green — with glossy inlaid letters that match the frame color. "Green" also describes another aspect since these benches are made of recycled plastic. That's right: No trees were killed to make these memorials.
