Skyline Restoration installed a new three-ply, self-adhering bitumen 20-year NDL ("no dollar limit") roofing system in addition to a new wooden roof deck; refurbished skylights and associated elements; replaced defective cast stone windowsills and associated caulking; replaced and refurbished defective window lintels; replaced and refurbished all fire escapes and associated components; replaced defective parapet walls, brickwork and counterflashings; cut out defective brickwork and stonework mortar joints; replaced and refurbished the second floor steel railings; and removed tar and replacing with aluminum cladding. Rand Engineering & Architecture prepared the construction documents, obtained the work permits from the Buildings Department, and provided construction administration. Michael Larkin of Rand was the project engineer. Board Treasurer Tom Van Nostrand and Managing Agent Jane Groveman oversaw the $834,000 project, which began in July 2007 and was completed in April 2008.
