...an extant installation of 15 for free under Bargold's rental plan. Engineer Joshua Goldman of Bargold and Koby Havia of Elmhurst's Central Queens Properties oversaw the project. Bargold absorbed the cost of the installation, which included painting and the installation of lighting fixtures in the storage area. The value would have been $3,000 per unit plus the painting and electrical costs. Bargold rents the units directly to the tenants, and the company pays the building 25% of the gross receipts. The project, which began in December 2007, was completed in January 2008.
