...its cooling tower. New York Cooling Towers is removing the existing cooling tower and installing a new one, including shutoff valves, condenser water supply, return piping, and drains. The installation includes a new motor starter, variable frequency drive and safety disconnect switches for the new cooling tower fan and water circulation pump, and refurbishment of the steel dunnage for supporting the new tower. Rand Engineering & Architecture prepared the construction documents and obtained a work permit from the Department of Buildings and is providing construction administration. Rand’s Jamey Ehrman is the project engineer. Steve Decker of Goodstein Management and board president Frank Greenberg are overseeing the $248,000 project, which began in December and is scheduled for completion before spring.
